Manolo Feijoó was born to a humble Galician family on a farm in rural Yaguajai, Cubaon in 1916. His interests in the agro-based industry led him to graduate university as a Sugar Engineer, joining the sector in his early twenties. As part of a Cuban group, Manolo developed sugar mills, expanding into various countries in Latin America. While working in Guatemala, he met his wife Carmen Lilian Sánchez, and started a family of their own, where he lived until his death in 2010.

His family now follows his tradition, dedicated to the international commercialization of sugar and other commodities. Manolo’s LLC was founded in 2019 and commercializes different types of sugar from various countries in Latin America, creating alliances between mills and sugar co-packing facilities, offering to food service clients in the United States. In order to service its clients more efficiently, Manolo’s LLC expanded its product offering to include different types of rice and products such as garlic and ginger through its partnerships with companies in the U.S., Vietnam, and Taiwan.
